What are the accepted modes of payment for passport fees online?

When applying for a passport in India, paying the application fee online is a mandatory step before booking an appointment at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office PSK (POPSK). To make the process faster, easier, and secure, the Passport Seva Portal, operated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), provides multiple digital payment methods. This guide outlines all the accepted modes of payment for passport fees online, along with step-by-step instructions and important tips for applicants.
